Actor, writer, and director John Cameron Mitchell has sent the SF QNF the following message of support to share with our followers:
“Hey y’all! It’s John Cameron Mitchell in my COVID hideout–an undisclosed location that is vastly better than New York right now.
I’m thinking of you guys in SF because my friend Shannon is helping with SF Queer Nightlife Fund for people who are out of work right now in this COVID time.
And I really appreciate Shannon’s work in all facets of life: in helping to get together Jolene’s, the female and trans* led bar of the moment and also helping the queer cultural center get that up and running in San Francisco. Everything is on hold now but donate if you can–if you got it spread it around, this is the time to do it. I love you all deeply, and I wish you health and safety.
And I’m going to sing:
If I needed you, would you come to me?
Would you come to me for to ease my pain?
If you needed me, I would come to you.
I would swim the sea for to ease your pain.”
The SF QNF is exceedingly grateful for this message of love and support in this time of crisis.
